Plenary Lecture at Symposium on the Chemistry of Terpenes, Essential Oils and Aromatics (The 65th TEAC in Sanyo-Onoda)

Takasago gave a plenary lecture entitled "SDGs oriented catalytic synthetic processes for aroma ingredients" at Symposium on the Chemistry of Terpenes, Essential Oils and Aromatics (The 65th TEAC) held on October 30-31 at Sanyo-Onoda City University.

TEAC is an annual international symposium established in 1957. The purpose of the symposium is to bring together academia and industry to discuss flavor and fragrance related chemistry, which contributes to scientific progress and public welfare. The topics include: essential oil chemistry (component analysis and structure determination), terpenoid chemistry (synthesis and reaction), biological chemistry (bioscience and biotechnology), and flavor and fragrance science (functionality, applications, manufacturing technology and quality control etc.)

Takasago has developed new catalysts and leveraged them to synthesis of aroma ingredients and pharmaceutical intermediates. The lecture presented our policy and practices on green sustainable chemistry and catalyst technology to realize it, based on past achievement and recent new findings.
