The exhibition " KAINOSHO Tadaoto: Crossing Boundaries in Nihonga, Theater and Film" is being held at Tokyo Station Gallery.

Kainosho Tadaoto is known as a talented painter of Nihonga, traditional Japanese painting. He was also active in the film industry as a historical researcher and a verifier of costumes and customs. The exhibition is not only limited to paintings, but also includes actual kimonos designed by Tadaoto for Samurai films, which adds to the variety of the exhibition. Tadaoto is the brother of Kainosho Tadaka, the founder of Takasago, and Takasago is also participating in this exhibition as a sponsor.
