Forms for Fragrance - Treasures from The Takasago Collection- exhibition to be held at the Museum "EKi" KYOTO 2021.

An exhibition Forms for Fragrance - Treasures from The Takasago Collection- is being held at the Museum「EKi」KYOTO in Kyoto, the birthplace of the founder Tadaka Kainosho. The exhibition presents about 200 items selected from the Takasago Collection.

Takasago has engaged wholeheartedly in collecting wide range of artifacts, from East and West, that communicate the culture of fragrance. The result is a diverse collection that, reflecting the long history and geographic expanse of fragrances and aromatic materials, includes items that range from Ancient Egyptian jars for fragrant oil to 20th century perfume bottles. It also includes incense burner, the utensils used Japan's Way of Fragrance, aromatic woods, and paintings and posters concerning fragrances.
Its realization is an unexpected delight for our company, which seeks to popularize the culture of fragrance. We hope visitors will enjoy a glimpse of over 5,000 years of cultural trends in the history of fragrance.
