The Takasago Collection® Gallery Receives an Award for Excellence at the Mécénat Awards 2026
The Takasago Collection® Gallery, Takasago International Corporation’s cultural initiative, has received an Award for excellence at the Mécénat Awards 2026, organized by the Association for Corporate Support of the Arts.
Established in 1991, the Mécénat Awards aim to promote corporate support for the arts and culture (mécénat) and raise public awareness of such activities. Each year, particularly outstanding activities certified as “This is MECENAT” during the previous year are selected for the Grand Mécénat Awards and Awards for excellence. Takasago International Corporation was selected as one of five recipients of an Award for excellence at the Mécénat Awards 2026.
The Takasago Collection® Gallery was recognized for its efforts to systematically present the culture of fragrance through its extensive collection, highlighting the significance of fragrance, which has long been intertwined with human life. The Gallery was also commended for providing an opportunity to rediscover the importance of fragrance for living a better life in modern society.
Guided by its belief that “fragrance is culture,” Takasago will continue its efforts to support and promote fragrance culture.

Located at Takasago International Corporation’s headquarters in Kamata, Tokyo, the Takasago Collection® Gallery exhibits materials and artworks related to fragrance culture from a wide range of periods and regions, collected by the company over many years. The gallery is open on weekdays and welcomes visitors from the general public. Until December 11, the gallery is hosting the special exhibition "Light and Fragrance: A Collection of Glass Perfume Bottles."
