This exhibition focuses on how science and technology have been harnessed to the pursuit of female beauty. The displays trace the history of the human obsession with beauty -- the origins and evolution of cosmetics -- and examine trends in cosmetics, fragrances, brain science, and beauty. The exhibits are mainly interactive, with videos, panels, and workshops.
Takasago provided assistance with the Science of Scents corner. Besides loaning specimens of several natural perfume ingredients -- ambergris, frankincense, myrrh, and musk -- it also provided samples of various scents used in fine fragrances.
In addition, Takasago gave its full cooperation to a perfume creation workshop entitled "Make Your Own Original Perfume!". This workshop, which proved highly popular, let participants experience for themselves how perfumes are made.
