The facility has undergone a complete facelift to bring it up to global standards, and creative capacity has been enhanced in the interests of better serving not only local Chinese customer but also Japanese and multinational companies. The renovation program was inspired by the twin concepts of “sensory evaluation” and “consumer insight & marketing research”. The project has greatly improved the Takasago’s ability to track flavor and fragrance preferences in China and cater to them with new beverages, food products, cosmetics and other consumer products developed in collaboration with our customers.

Takasago regards China as a key market. Last year Shanghai Takasago-Union Fragrances & Flavors Pudong factory was brought up to date with the latest cutting edge facilities, while this year a powdered flavors plant came into operation at Takasago International (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. These moves are all part of an effort to beef up our ability to provide customers and partners from across the globe with the expertise and services they need as they expand into China. To that end we are strengthening coordination between hubs and systematically pursuing a strategy built on the three pillars of creation, manufacturing, and sales.
