On March 5, 2007, Takasago
International (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. received ISO 9001 and ISO 22000
certification from the SGS Group (Societe
Generale de Surveillance).
ISO 9001 is well known as a
business management tool for improving customer satisfaction, but
the ISO 22000 international standard is not as well known, as it was
only established in 2005. The new international standard governs
requirements for food safety management systems. It incorporates
hygienic practices that are compliant with Hazard Analysis and
Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles.
TIG was established in
November 2004 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Takasago International
to provide more attentive service to customers both local and global
in the Asian region, and is a production center primarily for
powdered flavors and powdered food materials.
Following the company policy
of complying with legal requirements, enhancing customer
satisfaction, and supplying safe and reliable products, and with the
aim of improving our flavor production system for all of Asia, in
December 2006 TIG received halal certification from MUI (Majelis
Ulama Indonesia).
The ISO 9001 and ISO 22000
certifications together are expected to be very useful in raising
the safety level of foods and improving product quality in our
business carried out in China as well as in neighboring countries. |
