newest division in
Takasago, has more than
20-year history in
asymmetric synthesis,
which began with the
development of our first
process based on our
proprietary ligand,
BINAP. Our continuous
development, to expand
and refine the
technology afforded a
variety of new ligands,
some of which have been
successfully used for
industrial applications
for materials for Life
Sciences, such as
pharmaceutical
intermediates. While
BINAP is still one of
the landmark ligands in
the world, we are now
emphasizing SEGPHOS®,
which is the next
generation ligand.
For a long time,
Takasago's catalysts and
ligands were for
in-house use only. But
now they are
commercially available
directly from Takasago
(for large quantities)
and from Strem
Chemicals, Inc. or Sigma-Aldrich
Co. (for
reagent quantities). If
you think of the former
case, process
developments and/or
contract manufacturing
at Takasago are also
your option.
Our goal is to provide

and technology, which
will assist in the
adoption of green
manufacturing
