EHS auditing system

Takasago actively implements EHS policies based on its EHS Statement, and all arms remain in close communication. In 2001, a Special Committee on Environment and Safety Legal Auditing was established consisting of representatives from all departments concerned. Internal audits (environment and safety legal audits) of operations throughout the Takasago International Group are implemented regularly to verify legal compliance of all systems and monitor management of certification and standards. In April 2008, the Environment and Safety Management Office was reorganized into an auditing body independent of the business divisions and renamed the Environment and Safety Inspection Office, with EHS programs being implemented, managed, and administered by the EHS Office. The goal is to ensure more effective implementation of EHS activities and strengthen EHS management structures.
